Aaron Day began as a musician and audio
engineer and went on to found the time-based
media department at Method Inc.
in San Francisco from 1999 - 2001.

Since then he has been living and working
in Berlin, developing systems for the use
of sounds in human-computer interaction,
including applications of sound in product design,
audio environments and as time-based art.

As a sound designer, he co-founded Receive-Transmit
with Robert Connelly in Australia. Projects include
global strategy development for the use of sound in
mobile products for Samsung, development of audio
logos for Siemens and AT&T creating branded
soundtracks for Audi, as well as sound design
for films.

______________Thought

Use of sound in products and communication
needs to be pro-active, not reactive.
It needs to be tied to the parent brand
and, at the same time, be relevant to
the listener/user.
